RMC No. 2-2022 (issued January 10, 2022) publishes the full text of a letter from Department of Health Undersecretary Charade B. Mercado-Grande endorsing updates to the "List of VAT-Exempt Drugs and Vaccines Prescribed and Directly Used for COVID-19 Treatment" under Republic Act No. 11534 (CREATE Act). The letter clarifies that when the salt form of a medicine on the COVID-19 VAT Exempt List is not specified, the VAT exemption covers all salt forms of that drug.
