RMO No. 22-2024 Digest

RMO No. 22-2024 (June 14, 2024) prescribes policies and guidelines for the use of BIR-issued laptop computers by authorized employees. Laptops must be used only for official purposes and must have endpoint security installed. Only official files and authorized settings may be saved; unofficial files, non-standard software, and non-work-related photos, music, and videos are prohibited. Officials/personnel approved by the Commissioner may use the laptops outside BIR premises only with secured Wi-Fi; public Wi-Fi use is not allowed. Users are responsible for repair/replacement of units damaged through negligence, must not remove the Property Number, and cancellation of property accountability is made through a Receipt of Returned Items (RRI) from the Property Division.
